初中英语老师如何布置作业

就英语学科而言,初中阶段英语教学的目标是培养学生初步运用英语进行交际的能力。因此,根据英语学科的本身特点,如何恰当地作业布置,让学生通过适量的“习题”训练,掌握和巩固课本知识,并得到分析、综合、类比、演译、归纳等思维方法的训练,体现“提质减负”,提高教育教学质量,促进学生全面发展,是一个很值得研究的问题。
一、英语作业布置的现状分析
目前,许多教师已摆脱了传统的英语作业布置方法,不再把机械地抄写单词、词组甚至是课文放在首要位置,重视了英语阅读和技能的训练,让学生自己开动脑筋来获取知识和能力,避免了使学生成为一台“机器”而处于学习的被动地位。因此,在作业布置的总量上较以往有了明显的改观,注重作业效果和知识之间的内在联系以发展学生的思维能力,避免使学生形成对英语的厌学情绪。而且,在英语学科中,大量的作业是口头作业,依赖于学生的朗读和记忆。每天,老师会布置一定量的口头和笔头作业,并根据学生的学习时间加以调整。例如,逢双休日、节假日作业的总量要多于平时。
从学生完成作业的情况来看,大部分学生能按时完成教师的要
求,及时背诵和做练习。但学生做作业的自觉性不够,抄写的作业能完成,动脑筋的作业极为马虎,多有一“抄”了事的现象。这就使得教师不能及时正确地了解学生的学,教学工作难以开展。如何杜绝此类现象,除了学生的学习能动性的发挥、班主任及其他教育教学手段的运用外,探索初中英语教材的作业布置方法,想方设法,认真钻研,引导学生运用正确的方法,养成良好的学习、作业习惯,无疑是一种很好的求得英语教学质量提高的尝试。
二、英语作业研究的内容和方法
所谓研究英语作业布置,即优化英语作业设计,从最基础的英语作业入手,改革传统的英语“题海战”方式,认真研究学生的作业规律,切实解决目前普遍存在的英语作业“高耗低效”现象,通过严格控制作业数量,提高作业质量的方法来实现既减少学生过重作业负担,又提高教学质量的目的。
1、英语作业的研究内容
1)英语作业的形式:
但凡英语作业,均可分为两大类:口头作业和书面作业。口头作业包括听录音朗读、背诵、听录音复述和自编复述等。书面作业包括抄写、练习和写作。
2)英语作业的时间
a. 口头作业时间:每项口头作业时间控制在二十分钟以内,放于课后回家完成。
b. 书面作业时间:每项书面作业时间控制在二十分钟左右,练习类作业尽量放于课堂内完成,不出现于回家作业之中,以杜绝抄作业现象的出现。写作类作业限于课内指导,然后在课外完成。
3) 英语作业的内容
a. 口头作业内容:口头作业的内容多是背诵或朗读当天所学的单词、词组及课文。大量的新单词在传授给学生的过程中,从被接收到被掌握还有一个认识过程。英语单词是认识的初级阶段,只有熟练掌握基础,才能在更高层次上认识和掌握。现行教材每册配有录音,学生可以自己听录音边学习边训练听力。必须让学生养成每天听录音的习惯,这样学生既培养了自学能力又提高了听力。
b. 书面作业内容:
抄写类作业全部在课后完成。
练习类书面作业多以选择题或填空题形式出现。内容是当天英语教学中所出现的语法功能项目。每天出现典型题十题,尽量在课内或自习时完成。
写作类作业都与所学课文有关,可在每篇课文学好之后布置,让学生自己创作,以获得创新的快感,激发学习兴趣。
2、英语作业的布置方法
1)分层次布置英语作业
英语作业的设计应遵循教育教学规律。每位学生在学习和掌握知识面前不可能人人等同,处于同一水平。在英语作业布置中,分档地布置作业可以解决这一矛盾。
a. 基础类作业:
面向全体学生,包括了所有的口头作业及书面作业(十题精选
题),每生必做。重点布置与教材有关的最基础知识和最基本技能的训练。在作业布置中,一不要求全,一次落实一项训练,从宏观上控制作业量。二要有精品意识,教师对所设计的作业中的每一项能达到怎样的目的要有清楚认识,避免出题的盲目性、随意性,确保一题对应一个教学目标、一项对准一个训练重点,真正从微观上控制作业的量。
b. 提高类作业
面向学有余力的学生,属机动性作业。这是为了顾及少数特殊学生、优等生,而特意补充的一些难度较大的附加题。学生可随意选择一些力所能及的综合题。这样就激励、挖掘、发挥了学生的智力因素和非智力因素。学生的积极性得到了调动,优生满足了更高的求知欲,感到了学习有味道;中差生减轻了心理压力,有了跳一跳也能摘到“桃子”的机会;差生也能天天按时完成作业,增强了学习信心。
如八年级第二学期 Lesson 11分档作业可如此设计:

应该注意的是,对所设计的作业要有兼容性,既要有刚学到的“新知”,也要有已学过,需要进一步巩固的“旧知”,要注意作业内容的梯度性、启发性和思考性。这种分档作业的设计,题题目标明确,生生学有所得,激发了学生的认识,扩展了学生掌握新知的内涵。
2)运用学习策略,指导记忆方法,布置口头作业
口头作业的完成取决于学生本身。教师所起的作用便是激发学生学习英语的兴趣。教师不是单纯传授知识,而要注重指导学生的学习方法、培养学生的学习能力。
a. 对于某些形相似的单词,可采取机械识记与有意识记相结合的方法。如:mouth-嘴(嘴要装东西,所以开口向上--u)month-月(“月”字与n开口均向下)
b. 对于一些意义易混淆的内容,可采取挖掘其内部相关联的方法,创设情境记忆,从而使学生能自由操纵语言。如:pot-茶壶(“泡”茶要用壶“泡”的)top-顶(“抬”头看“顶”)
c. 其余诸如语法项目中要识记的内容,可采用下法。如:true 变成副词 truly ,以及terrible—terribly, 这两个单词“真的可怕”,可怕在哪?得去e加ly。还可以运用构词规律指导学生记忆单词,以取得事半功倍的效果。如absent-----absence;
different---difference; important—importance等。这样,由于教师在课堂教学活动中想方设法创设精境,唤起了学生好奇的心理,激发了学生学习的动机,使学生自身觉得不满足。由于学而知不足,反过来又刺激了学生的求知欲。从而切实落实了口头作业的完成。
3)创设情景,传授知识,布置书面作业
把书面作业分散在课内完成,这就要求教师必须认真钻研每课的作业题,做到心中有数。在教学过程中,应引导学生掌握一些规律性的知识,并能举一反三,去解决今后的英语学习中会遇到的问题。具体方法如下:

Eye contact(接触) is a very difficult art to master. How can you improve your eye contact? Here are some tips for you.
