从前在一座高高的山上，住着一群活泼可爱的小猴子。

一天晚上，月亮又亮又圆。小猴子们一起下山来玩。它们蹦蹦跳跳，东张张，西望望，玩得很开心。

一只小猴子看见一口水井。它趴在井沿上朝井里一看，咦，井里有一个又大又圆的月亮。小猴子吓得撒腿就跑，边跑边大声叫喊：

“不好了！不好了！月亮掉在井里了！”

猴子妈妈听见了，也连忙跑过来，朝井里一看，月亮果然在井里。猴子妈妈就把小猴子们都喊了来，对它们说，“不得了！不得了！月亮掉在井里了！我们赶快把月亮捞上来吧。”

小猴子说：“我们爬到大树上去，一个接一个地倒挂下来，一直挂到井里，就可以把月亮捞上来了。”
