Hello everyone , my topic is “money talks’. People often say that money talks. They mean that a person with a lot of money can say how he or she wants things done. There is no doubt that money is important. Most of the material things in our daily life have to be bought with money. Money can buy you food when you are hungry, buy you clothes when you are cold and buy you medicine when you are sick. In general, money can buy you almost everything you want.

But it is not easy to earn enough money to gain this kind of power. Money can be acquired in many ways. Most people will work to earn money. Some will create a business to

accumulate and increase the amount of money they have. In moments of desperation, most people would pawn their

jewelry and other belongings to obtain instant money. Some of them would sell their properties and even their structured settlements in order for them to have available cash. The worst thing of all is that a person would risk his own life and dignity by doing a criminal act only to have money.

According to some surveys, money is the major motive for most young criminals. So do some government officials. At present, in our country, degeneration(恶化) and corruption（堕落） of officials have been more and more severe. Although

our government is struggling against the phenomenon, and has worked out a series of policy and laws, some officials remains to accept bribery（贿赂）. They think of money as

everything to their lives, but they are wrong, absolutely wrong.

The reality that we should embrace is that we need money, but it does not follow that money is the only reason of our existence here on earth. Money is important, but it is not

everything. Money can buy a book but not knowledge. Money can buy a house but not a home. Money can buy medicine but not health. there are many things in the world that can’t be bought with money, such as friendship, happiness and satisfaction.{money演讲稿}.

I strongly believe that the significance of money depends not on how many things it can buy but on the way people spend it. That is, we should make good use of money to do more things helpful to us and others, which is the value of money truly lying in..

There are many factors that can create fulfillment(实行) here on earth, not money alone. They are our family, our friends, and even our new acquaintances. They can help us grow and reach our goals.

Good evening! Dear teachers and classmates, I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech.My topic is Money is not everything.

Needless to say, money is not very important, but very very important.If there is no money, I can’t use this microphone to speak to you and we can’t have such a room to hold such a competition. Without money, we can’t study in such a schoolyard. Without money, we can’t live in such a hometown. Without money, we can’t have such a motherland. On the other hand, If there is no money, you don’t need to bear my speech about money now.

Most of us have dreams about the future, dreams of having a good job and making much money. Surely someone has thought at times “If only I had a lot of money, I could be the happiest person in the world.” In fact it’s the main mistake that people make about money.

However, is money the road to happiness? Not really! Many people work every day, work overtime, work weekends to make a lot of money. Are they happy? No. They are too busy making money. Meanwhile, They have no time to form or to maintain friendship. They even lose the abilities to relax and to enjoy themselves. Enjoying means taking things, taking time to see, to hear, to taste, to smell, to feel. They do not take time to do this. They say: “I’ll do it when I have enough money to retire” then they find that it is too late.

Why we usually make such a mistake and even more mistakes? Activists say it is because of money itself. They think money has changed many things. They even regard money as the source of evil. In my opinion, it is unfair to money. Money is a tool. Well, there’s no denying that we do something harmful with money. But we can’t say money is the source of evil.

Money is neither good nor bad itself. It is a mirror, a perfect and important mirror, and a mirror that reflects both the darkness and the brilliance of humanity. In other words, all depend on us. So, my fellow students, ladies and gentlemen,Money is something,but money is not everything!

第一，钱具有与任何商品进行等价交换的现实合法性。一方面，钱既是财富的象征，又是一般等价物。它具有无限的效力，因此能煽起人的无穷贪欲。但是另一方面，每个人对于金

钱的占有又都是有限的，无限的欲望根本不可能得到满足。正是金钱这种效用无限性和占有有限性之间的矛盾，使它比其他任何物品都更能激起人心中的非分之想，从而使人迷失良知，堕人邪恶。

第二，钱不仅可以在商品领域呼风唤雨，而且可以使非商品也商品化。它不仅是物质财富的象征，而且成为了精神价值的筹码。权力、地位可以用钱购买，贞洁、名誉可以公开出售，人性、尊严被待价而沽，甚至天理、良心也染上了铜臭之气。莎士比亚早就揭露道：金钱可以使黑的变成白的，丑的变成美的，错的变成对的，卑贱的变成尊贵的。正因为金钱具有如此混淆是非，颠倒乾坤的无边法力，它才成为了滋生种类繁复，数量极多的罪恶肆意蔓延的深刻根源。

第三，人对钱的崇拜还异化了人与钱之间的关系。钱本应是促进社会经济发展的一种工具，但在现实中，却被人们当作了顶礼膜拜的上帝。因为钱，人们迷失于这光怪陆离的物欲世界；因为钱，人们丧失了内在良知却还浑然不觉；还是因为钱，人生价值和人性尊严都被当作了牺牲品（时间警示）供奉到了拜金主义的祭坛之上。（人创造了金钱，却又对自己的创造物顶礼膜拜。当钱从手段上上升为目的的时候，人却从主人沦落为了奴隶。诚然，是有人能在金钱面前保持清醒，但是这是因为他们主观上有道德良知的呼唤，客观上又受到社会规范的约束。正如我们不能因为有人对病毒免疫，就否认病毒是病的根源一样，我们也不能因为有人能在灯红酒绿面前洁身自好，就否认钱是万恶之源。）钱作为工具，的确可以促进社会经济的发展，但问题就在于现实中，它已经被人们当作了目的本身在看待。但是，当崇尚自由的人类精神已经被缚上了黄金锁链的时候，他还能自由飞翔吗？谢谢。
